Pinching iron
Long, needle-nosed curling irons were fine for long tresses at the back or side of your hair, but the shorter hair around your face required a shorter tool such as this pinching iron. Like the longer irons, this curler was heated on a stovetop or similar surface, and cloth padding on the handle protected your hands from the heat.
