A Discussion with...
Join the Museum on Main for presentations and lectures with local historians, artists, and community members.  These discussions happen in correlation with a present temporary exhibit at the Museum.  The dates and times will vary based on the speaker. Please see below for information about each discussion's date, time, registration requirements, and ticket price.

 A Discussion with... Amador High School Dons
Date: Tuesday August 29th 
Time: 5 pm- 6 pm
Location: Museum on Main 


Panel Discussion from 5 to 6 pm *limited space / advance sign up required to attend
To kick off the exhibit opening, Amador alum and MOM board president Kathleen Hart-Hinek will moderate a panel discussion with former and current Amador teachers and staff from 5 to 6 pm. T
he community will be able to hear from teachers or staff members that experienced Amador grow and change across multiple decades. Panelists will include current teacher Kevin Kiyoi, former principal Cyril Bonanno, former social studies teacher Barbara Norton, and long time library clerk Judy Rathbone Burt, among others. 
The panel discussion will run from 5- 6 pm and will be followed by a reception with refreshments and snacks.

* IMPORTANT: Space is limited in the gallery for this program. Your are REQUIRED to sign up to attend the panel discussion in advance. We only have a certain amount of seats available for guests. We will be checking people in at the front to ensure they are on the sign-up list. Due to limited space, this program will be filmed and made available to everyone on the museum's YouTube page in September. Thank you for your understanding!

Public Reception from 6 to 7 pm *open to all / no sign up required

To celebrate the opening of 100 Years of Amador Valley High School, from 6 to 7 pm on August 29th, the Museum will host a public reception following the panel discussion. All are invited and no sign up required!
