Stitching California: Textile Artists Interpret the Golden State
Originally produced by Studio Art Quilt Associates and the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah, Stitching California brings together forty-three gifted textile artists from Northern California and Nevada to assemble a multifaceted portrait of the Golden State: its beauty, its glory, its flaws, and its challenges. Thanks to Exhibit Envoy, Museum on Main is able to host Stitching California not only in physical space at our museum in Pleasanton, but also online through our website. For those who cannot visit our galleries in person, this web-based version of the exhibit offers an opportunity to see the works in digital format, and to read and hear the perspectives of the artists and the show judges. Even if you have seen the show in person, this online version of Stitching California also offers bonus media and activities to deepen your engagement with this remarkable exhibit.
