About Sierra
Hi everyone! My name is Sierra Smith, and I’ve been a Pleasanton resident since 2019. I'll be working with the Museum as an Education Coordinator. I volunteered with the museum for a little over a year before being lucky enough to start working with them. Ive always been super interested in history and preservation, which is a part of why I initially was interested in volunteering here, but over my time here the museum sparked so many different interests of mine and taught me so many valuable things. One of my favorite things about working here is being so connected to the Pleasanton community. It has been so rewarding in so many ways and has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people that I may have never come across if it were not for working at the museum. I am so excited to keep learning more about the rich history of Pleasanton and to be able to keep engaged with the community. I look forward to being able to meet more of you amazing people as I continue my time here!
About Justin
Hello! My name is Justin Choy, and I am the Museum on Main’s new Curatorial Assistant and Program Developer! I have volunteered here at the Museum on Main for a year, while also attending SF State’s Master’s program in Museum Studies, specifically in curation. I have always been a scholar fond of all sorts of history ever since my days as a middle schooler reading all the history books in my class, to my days at Saint Mary’s College of California where I studied Chinese History, and now I am excited to learn more about Pleasanton’s local history! Additionally, I have a deep love of music as I also play the guitar. My future career goal is to hopefully work in a museum dedicated to music or music history!
